Race Category:
Downhill/Super D/Dual Slalom/4x : Pro
XC/Singlespeed: Bg
Road: Cat 4

Since joining the Velobellas in 2007, it’s been the best experience! They are a troop of fabulous women from all walks of life, and it’s a joy to ride with them.

I grew up in Alaska, but now my significant other and I are lucky enough to live in Park City, UT, where the riding is both varied and plentiful, and which is only a 4 hour drive from other biking meccas such as Moab and Fruita (yes, we’re frequent visitors).

Bikes
Downhill: Kona Stab, outfitted head to toe with SRAM! Such a sweet bike, it’s like a powder day on skis every time I ride it!
4x/Dual Slalom: Astrix Union
Super D: Kona Dawg, upgraded to a Rockshox Pike fork which is BEAUtiful!
Pedalling/cross-training: Surly 1×1, fully rigid singlespeed
Road: I’m loathe to admit I ride in spandex, but road riding is actually fun! An ancient Trek, 12 speed, steel beast in 1970s orange that I love.

Best crashes/injuries
I’m just going to say….too many, but I usually bounce back quickly! The more serious include the rotator cuff last year, broken wrist & arm this year, and a punctured lung, eek.

How I support my bike habit
Full-time County Planner for Summit County
Part-time at a bike shop (I love encouraging the women that come in, showing them that they can be good riders and still be girly, and that riding isn’t just for their boyfriends/husbands).
Selling body parts. (Ok, ok, I’m kidding about the last part.)

Other sport
Skeleton (like bobsled and luge, but going down the track headfirst). As of summer 2008, I’m nationally ranked 9th. It’s a great winter sport, and if you come to Park City, you can try it too!
