convenient and it will save me from getting on my soapbox about why in the hell are the CA State Championships always held waaay down in San Diego, when all the top cross racers are up North?! (sorry Mark, youre excluded from that)

Led by the incomparable, Jacquie Phelan.
Heres the info from Jacquie: Dec. 7 Santa Cruise for Battered Women --ride in the rain for women in pain. This ride started in 1984 when I decided that Domestic Abuse really really sucks. It was revitalized in 1998, then hit home again, unspeakably sadly when Peggy H. lost her sister to domestic violence.
Meet at 9 am in the dirt lot behind that former restaurant Pacific Rim at the entrance to Nisene Marks Forest in Aptos. Call Jain Light for a weather report (821-685-2520).

Actually, Jacquie refers to it as Instant Finesse
Instant Finesse in Santa Cruz (Aptos actually). Wherein the Southbay women get to learn the bad girl curb hop and the ridiculous rear wheel skid and other playful ways to master the machine."

12/14-15/02 - USCF Cyclocross Nationals
Oh, yeah! U.S. Cross is coming back to NorCal. Nationals in San Francisco were insane and hooked me on cross for good. I cant wait to see what happens in Napa. Watch as our local gals, Carmen, Gina, Christine and Rachel vye for the coveted National Title. And be on the lookout for our own Shelly to be in the mix too! Look for our booth to see the resutls of our Dirty Dozen Contest and to buy stuff.
